Tondraikanism
The Tondrakians were an anti-feudal heretical Christian sect concentrated in Armenia. This Gnostic sect flourished between the early ninth and eleventh centuries. Smbat Zarehavantsi is credited with the founding of the Tondrakian Gnostic sect, and advocated the abolishment of the Orthodox Church and its traditional rites. The Tondrakians were widely accepted among the lower classes in Medieval society. |
